Infrared Investigation
Moisture Intrusion: Locating sources of moisture intrusion is a unique feature of the IR survey, as seen below. No more time or money wasted demolishing walls or ceilings just to locate the point of intrusion. Plumbing and/or sewage leaks are found in similar fashion.
EIFS / Stucco: Surveys can help locate retained moisture beneath or within the surface of this exterior finish system as shown below. No destructive testing necessary.
HVAC: Defects in duct work can be seen as shown below. Hot humid air is being drawn into this return air duct from the attic space above. The system ran continuous and never cooled the house properly.
Insulation: When insulation is missing or improperly installed, heat will pass into living spaces. This image shows how easily this defect is found. The same is true for any insulated wall, ceiling or door. HVAC systems are not sized or designed to handle this type of defect, thus high energy usage is common.

- Summary Report listing all surveyed areas with suspect areas highlighted
- An infrared image of the suspect area, plus a corresponding visual digital photograph.
- The probable cause of the defect and suggestions for your builder or repair contractor.
